We have a thriving intern program at the Family Crisis Center. On any given day, you could answer phones, handle confidential paperwork, work personally with local law enforcement, coordinate special events, observe staff members working with clients, spend time in the food bank and thrift store, work on our website and social media outlets, and a multitude of other tasks.

Hours for interns are within the hours of 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. on Fridays. Most interns spend 10-15 hours per week at the Family Crisis Center. There are hours available outside normal times, including, but not limited to working with support groups or assisting with public awareness events.

Our program is suitable for majors of all kinds, as the skills learned through an internship with our organization can be utilized regardless of your career path. The most common majors of our applicants are Marriage and Family studies, but we have had interns from many of the following majors as well:

- Sociology                    - Communications

- Social Work                - Psychology

- Public Health               - Public Policy & Admin

- Child Development       - Business Management

- Biology                       - Hospitality & Tourism

If you are unsure if our program is a good fit for your internship, talk with your department's internship coordinator.
