Family Crisis Center's 6th Annual Purple Ribbon Run Event is Live

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and in honor of this important month Family Crisis Center (FCC) is holding the 6th annual Purple Ribbon Run. The public is welcome to join this free event on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 10 a.m. MT at Jefferson (Rigby) Lake in Rigby, Idaho.


This annual event is an effort to raise domestic violence awareness in the communities we serve. Participating in this event demonstrates victims and survivors of domestic violence the support of the community and FCC. Beyond this, the event helps destigmatize the topic of domestic violence, promotes open discussion of the issue and brings the community together.


This year's event sponsors include Alphagraphics; Idaho Central Credit Union; Jamba Juice; Love, Olive Co.; Parkrun; Paul Mitchell the School Rexburg; Pizza Pie Cafe; Righteous Slice Pizza; The Cookie Place, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Wren and Cherry and XO Golden. All event participants will automatically be entered into a free raffle for prizes from our sponsors and FCC.

FCC serves Clark, Fremont, Jefferson, and Madison Counties. Some of the services the FCC offers include support groups, legal and court advocacy, safety planning, food bank, thrift store, safe shelter, and a 24-hour crisis line. The FCC is located at 16 E.
